What You'll Do
">As a Direct Support Professional, you will assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, ensuring they receive complete care and assistance with dietary, hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs.
">You will work closely with clients to redirect behaviors through various activities, including walking, reading, games, math, and computer projects.
">Your key responsibilities will include assisting clients with bathroom needs and changing undergarments/clothing as required, preparing daily meals, and assisting with clean-up tasks, as well as picking up/dropping off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).
">Requirements
">- High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, CPI, and DSP 1 certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses.
- A valid in-state driver's license, current registration, and insurance, with a driving record having no more than 2 points within the last 3 years.
