Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, including assisting with complete care of dietary, hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs, as well as redirecting behaviors with various activities such as walking, reading, games, math, and computer projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living skills, such as meal preparation and household management
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with behavior redirection and crisis intervention
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR/First Aid, CPI, and DSP 1 certification
- Minimum 1 year of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses
