Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. This role will involve assisting adults with physical and developmental disabilities in their daily lives, including complete care of dietary, hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care such as grooming, bathroom needs, changing clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed
- Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' as written in Individual Program Plan
- SUPPORT the needs and goals of each resident by participating in the development of IPP/ISP goals
- SUPPORT the needs and goals of each resident by taking them to visit family and friends, to preferred leisure/recreation activities, and encouraging them to socialize among peers
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 3 years of professional or personal experience supporting children with developmental disabilities (e.g. Autism) or mental illnesses (e.g. Group home License preferred)
- A valid in-state driver's license, over 21, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years
- MUST have Group Home License
- Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
