We are looking for a dedicated and organized Logistics Specialist to coordinate mailroom activities. The ideal candidate will assist with the daily operations of the mailroom, ensuring timely and accurate processing, sorting, and distribution of incoming and outgoing packages. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail.

- Ensure timely and accurate sorting, processing, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail
- Maintain accurate records and assist in preparing regular reports on mailroom activities
- Assist with inventory of mailroom supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping regulations
- Operate and maintain mailroom equipment, coordinating repairs and maintenance
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Identify and implement improvements to mailroom processes and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Functional knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- High school diploma or GED required
- Some mail sorting and distribution services
- Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping regulations and requirements
- A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!
- Ability to operate and train on equipment such as forklifts, and other specialized machinery
- Ability to stand for extended periods (more than 80% of shift)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work quickly with hands and have good hand/eye coordination
