Material Flow Lead
The Redwood Material Flow team seeks a Material Flow Lead. This person is responsible for driving functional departmental operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient workflows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and leading a team of warehouse associates. You will be key in coordinating tasks and moving staffing to support the operation's daily goals and objectives.

What you'll be doing:
1. Safety
- Always wear required PPE, clean as you go, report safety incidents promptly, and adhere to safety guidelines, including the TDR Checklist, PIT Pre-Operation Checklist, tagging out of equipment, reporting broken tools, and following safe driving guidelines.
- Execute improvements to safety culture/behaviors outside of own shift/site.
- Associate coaching for safety, regular safety-related CI submissions (at least3 per rating period), and suggesting safety culture improvements.
- Emergency Response Training (*) including first Aid/CPR/AED training
2. Redwood Attitude
- You will execute the agreed-upon plan in the Supervisor's absence and have initiated continuous improvement projects.
- Meet and exceed the majority of developmental goals from 1:1s.
- You'll raise the mood of the surrounding team, keeping the team positive and focused
- Embrace change in equipment, standards, and processes while maintaining DPTO standards and understanding multiple process paths within the department (e.g., inbound and outbound).
- Regularly enter or report quality/productivity-related CI or FIIX tickets (at least 3 per rating period) and set a productive pace to assist peers while prioritizing safety in the department (e.g. inbound and outbound)
3. Problem-Solving
- You'll have deep process knowledge and be able to work independently on standard work checklist tasks with little to no guidance.
- Identify future process gaps and effectively communicate them to management. Contribute to developing SWIs/SOPs.
- Successfully fill-out the shift planning tool.
- Prioritize tasks based on their urgency and importance.
4. Teamwork
- Conduct some shift-level leadership especially in supervisor's absence and collaborate with other departments.
- Consistently mentors and coaches peers to have better safety and quality
- Prioritize team over individual concerns, maintain effective communication, participate in team meetings, collaborate weekly with peers, report team issues to leadership, and offer guidance and support.
- Be willing to take on non-standard tasks and mentor peers to improve safety and quality.
Essential Qualifications:
- Performs work under general supervision.
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
- May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
- Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to explain and present information
- Effectively train/advise users on processes and the use of equipment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Approachable and adaptable; this is a dynamic environment where priorities are constantly changing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PIT-Forklift experience
- Demonstrated safety track record
- 5 years in warehousing
- Strong WMS and TMS skills preferred
- Willingness to contribute at all levels of the organization
Work Locations:
- McCarran, NV (USA Parkway)-Tahoe Campus
Current Shifts:
A (Sun - Tues and every other Wed) 6 am to 6 pm
B (Sun - Tues and every other Wed) 6 pm to 6 am [This shift includes a 10% shift differential]
C (Thurs - Sat and every other Wed) 6 am to 6 pm
D (Thurs - Sat and every other Wed) 6 pm to 6 am [This shift includes a 15% shift differential]
