What are the responsibilities and job description for the MEDICATION CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN-ON CALL position at Redwood Terrace - a HumanGood community?
The Med Tech is responsible for the nursing needs of residents, while actively incorporating our Philosophy for Person-Directed Care. Ensures a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors to participate in the residents daily life rhythm. Develops assignments in coordination with the care partners and keeps each team member accountable for resident care and satisfaction.
Schedule :Compensation :
- On-Call up to 16 hours per week
- Hourly $18.00- $22.50 / hour depending on experience
- Differential for NOC shifts, PM shifts and all weekend shifts
- Provides resident care, including administering medications and documenting each treatment
- Maintain communication with doctors, laboratory, pharmacy, and residents' families concerning resident care
- Prepares shift reports
- Promotes and protects the rights of each resident
- Current Med Tech certification is a plus
- Must have current CPR and First Aid certification prior to beginning work
- Prior nursing experience : senior care, skilled nurse, post-acute or sub-acute care
- 20 days of paid time off, plus 7 company holidays (increases with years of service)
