Position Summary
The Application Support Analyst will provide frontline IT application support to business users, ensuring smooth and efficient user experience. This role requires a customer-focused approach with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to resolving technical issues. Responsibilities include troubleshooting user-reported issues, identifying and recommending technology solutions, and assisting with business process improvements using existing systems. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to stay organized in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Serve as a key point of contact between business users and IT teams, ensuring clear communication regarding service tickets, system outages, and other support-related updates.
- Adhere to IT guidelines and best practices for incident management and support processes.
- Prioritize incoming support requests, escalate issues when necessary, and follow up with IT teams or vendors until the ticket is fully resolved.
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple locations and work effectively with third-party application support teams.
- Assist with troubleshooting by running and analyzing basic SQL queries.
- Provide support for SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, and Concur, helping users navigate and resolve common issues.
- Guide end users through troubleshooting steps and educate them on resolutions in a professional and polite manner.
- Identify recurring technical issues, document trends, and recommend potential fixes, workarounds, or process improvements.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives aimed at improving application support efficiency and user experience.
- Stay informed about new software releases and updates from third-party vendors to enhance support readiness and knowledge sharing.
- Perform other related duties as needed to support the business and IT teams effectively.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 2 years of experience in application support, help desk, or technical support in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry is a plus but not required.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, with the ability to run and interpret simple queries for troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and report application issues, irregularities, or bugs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to business users, IT teams, and third-party support groups.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- A four-year college degree is preferred but not required; relevant experience and certifications are valued.
Pay range and compensation package
A reasonable estimate of the total compensation range for this role is $73,000-$90,000. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certification, and other factors.
