Job Description
- Manage assigned accounts receivable portfolio through direct customer interaction and internal resources.
- Review lien waiver requests from the credit managers, branches, and external customers.
- Perform account receivables analysis and research on request for lien waivers.
- Process lien waiver requests.
- Submit lien waivers as requested.
- Follow closely the payments for waiver processing.
- Process documentation for lien filing and bond claims.
- Monitor invoices and "last date of delivery" to ensure liens rights are preserved.
- Communicate regularly with the Credit Department and the Regional Credit Managers
- Resolve deficiencies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the appropriate authority for resolution.
- Proactively escalate issues that are inhibiting prompt payment.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate ‘s degree or equivalent credit experience.
- 4-6 years previous experience in a similar role, within construction material supplier and or/ construction industry.
- Ability to initiate, maintain and grow professional relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow up with exacting detail.
- Experience working in a commercial credit environment in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with lien and bond procedures required.
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills – adept at working with urgency and meeting deadlines as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Occasional travel required for business purposes.
- Attendance – Ability to maintain the scheduled days and hours, including onsite presence at the assigned location as specified.
- Physical Capacities – Lift up to 25 pounds on occasion, sitting and standing for extended periods.
- Operation of Office Equipment — Job requires operation of equipment common to office settings, including computers, copiers, and other office equipment, including Near Vision, Manual Dexterity, and working in proximity to equipment.
