Data Administrator
The data administrator is responsible for managing and ensuring accuracy, security, and availability of data across all database systems. Responsibilities include managing, storing, and organizing data across our organization's database systems. This individual will be responsible for maintaining customer databases, tax permits, fuel permits, and verifying accuracy of data reported in the systems. This individual will be strong in their attention to details, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Hours: Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM
Rate of Pay: $20 - $25, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Review and enter new customers in all systems, ensuring completeness and consistency in all data entered.
- Review and analyze costs for errors, recommending credit and rebills for corrections.
- Add and maintain customer ship to addresses.
- Update customer databases in all systems, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Manage customer diesel permits and order status based on permit levels.
- Enter and maintain customer taxability from customer provided documentation.
- Verify fuel taxes for accuracy.
- Identify areas of opportunity for database enhancements, opportunities for accuracy, and potential process changes.
- Identify data quality standards to implement and perform regular reviews to ensure compliance.
- Manage and participate in projects as they arise.
- Back-up of other customer service representatives in customer invoicing.
- Other tasks as required or assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly.
- High attention to detail to ensure security, accuracy, and integrity.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders, management, and end users.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, office-based position with occasional site visits if required.
- Work hours may vary depending on project timelines, month-end, and year-end close.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally lifting and carrying materials up to 20 pounds may be required.
Experience
- 2 years of experience in customer service, data administration, or other related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or similar).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Education
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
