Located in Mineral, Virginia, Tributer Resort spans 1,000 acres bordering Lake Anna and is poised to become a premier destination in Virginia. The development plan includes over 800 residential entitlements, featuring estate homes and homesites, executive homesites, cottages, villas, townhomes and luxury condominium accommodations. The resort's planned amenities include a spa & wellness center, multiple restaurants, social and conference meeting space and a rich array of resort activities all anchored by the prestigious Cutalong Golf Club.
Position Overview:
Our team at Cutalong at Tributer Resort is looking to add an Accounts Payable/Receivable Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. This role will work closely with the finance, accounting and development team to support day-to-day financial operations, including tracking invoices and financial records, managing cash flows, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and detailed financial records for the resort, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Post all transactions related to investments, income, and expenses into the designated accounting software.
- Monitor and reconcile cash balances, investment transactions, and financial instruments in the firm's operating accounts.
- Assist with cash forecasting and reporting to ensure proper liquidity and cash management for operations and investments.
- Process invoices, track expenses, and ensure proper coding for accurate financial reporting.
- Process and reconcile all contractor payment applications ensuring conditional and unconditional lien release compliance.
- Prepare and submit for approval all bank draws for construction projects.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support the tax reporting process by preparing necessary schedules and documents for tax filings.
- Track and report on financial performance metrics for portfolio companies.
- Help maintain and enforce internal financial controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial documentation for regulatory filings, audits, and due diligence processes.
- Provide general administrative support to the development team, including organizing documentation and report preparation.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and project work as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 2 years of bookkeeping or similar AP/AR experience
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar) and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
