Job Description:
The Landscaping Laborer will be responsible for performing various physical tasks, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with the execution of landscaping and other related projects. This position requires the ability to work effectively with heavy and light equipment, follow instructions from supervisors, and adapt to changing job requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform various physical duties as assigned, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
- Maintain all safety standards and adhere to safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure work environment.
- Move, secure, install, build, load, or unload materials as directed by supervisors or project plans.
- Perform specialized tasks that may require on-the-job training and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills.
- Effectively operate heavy and light equipment, depending on the specific requirements of the job site or assignment.
- Follow directions from the site supervisor and work collaboratively with team members to accomplish tasks efficiently.
- Move tools, equipment, or other materials as directed in project plans or by supervisors, ensuring that all items are handled with care and placed in the appropriate location.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning up debris and disposing of waste materials properly.
- Assist with other duties as needed to support the overall objectives of the project and contribute to the successful completion of tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Previous experience in landscaping general labor is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a variety of weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to following safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required
- Willingness to complete a background check and drug test
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
