What Can You Expect
- Assemble and install piping systems for water, fire, sanitary, and storm sewer applications.
- Prepare written daily reports to document the work for a given project.
- Coordinate with the superintendent to maintain the project schedule.
- Ensure quality standards are met. This includes scheduling inspections as required by project specifications.
- Placing orders for materials, and is responsible for equipment and materials onsite.
- Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
What You Bring to the Table
- Understands means and methods of construction associated with earthwork, site utility and concrete construction.
- Must possess extensive knowledge of the trades and the work involved, along with an ability to resolve problems with appropriate and timely decisions.
- Must possess the ability to understand the function and purpose of the final product and use that knowledge to challenge the appropriateness of the work in progress.
- Understands how to effectively staff self-performed work activities to achieve levels of productivity that meet or exceed industry norms.
- Must possess working knowledge of or demonstrate willingness to learn how to use the following software applications: MS Outlook, Raken and Viewpoint Field Work Center.
- Must have 5 years of experience in a foreman role in site grading and utility work.
- Must have experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
