Azure System Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Azure System Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals looking to transition from an MSP environment and broaden their expertise in Azure cloud technologies. The Azure System Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and efficient cloud environments, transitioning from Citrix-based systems to Azure platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
Azure Cloud Setup and Management :
Configure and deploy Azure servers, virtual networks, and network security groups.Define and implement operational processes and architecture in Azure cloud environments.Security and Compliance :
Set up and manage Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to enhance system security.Establish robust security protocols, including VPN configurations and network access policies.Ensure adherence to compliance standards such as HIPAA, PCI, and SOC as applicable.Infrastructure Transition and Optimization :
Plan and execute the migration from Citrix-based systems to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption.Implement secure virtual private networks (VPNs) and other connectivity solutions for a hybrid cloud environment.System Maintenance and Support :
Monitor and maintain Azure resources to ensure high availability and performance.Perform routine updates, patching, and backups to safeguard data and systems.Troubleshoot and resolve Azure environment issues promptly.Documentation and Collaboration :Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all Azure configurations and processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver optimized solutions.Qualifications and Skills :
Proven experience in Azure system administration or a related cloud-focused role.7 years of experienceStrong background in MSP environments, with hands-on experience managing Citrix systems.Proficiency in setting up Azure environments, including servers, virtual private networks, and network security groupsExpertise in configuring MFA , VPNs, and implementing robust security measures.Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell to automate cloud operations.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.Preferred Experience :
Transitioning enterprise systems from Citrix to Azure.Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud architectures.Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI, or SOC.
