What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Manager position at Refactor Talent?
We’re seeking to connect a Technical Manager with a leading company in the technology sector on a full-time basis. The role is hybrid and located in Livonia, Michigan. As a Technical Manager, you will have the opportunity to join a passionate, motivated team and leverage your expertise in software development and team leadership. This position requires onsite presence three days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with team members to provide technical and functional leadership, ensuring the successful completion of both technical and business objectives.
- Break down concepts and projects into actionable requirements for developers and stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance the automated build and deploy process for applications, ensuring regular, successful deployments.
- Assist the Project Manager with resource allocation decisions and take ownership of one or more project modules.
- Conduct system-wide technical analysis and develop detailed solution designs, mentoring team members in the estimation process.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks in collaboration with the Project Manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of overall IT experience, with at least 3 years working with enterprise JAVA software applications.
- Proficient in core technology/development tools such as SMUL/SSO, SOA, CSS/HTML5/JSF/JQuery/JS, and various web services.
- Proven experience leading a team, preferably as a technical or team lead.
- Strong knowledge of design patterns, unit testing methodologies, and Agile software development practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
