of our youth from 6th grade to 12th grade. The ideal candidate will be a mature Christian
who holds firmly to God’s covenant, trusts in his promises over God’s household, and is
able to effectively connect with the young members of the church and their parents.
Responsibilities :
- Personal Growth and Development : Collaborate with other pastors to grow spiritually and build relationships, while maintaining personal devotion to the Lord through regular Bible study and prayer, and familiarizing yourself with the culture of Northern Virginia to minister effectively in the local context.
- Preaching : Prepare and preach sermons regularly, up to three times per month.
- Discipleship and Vision Casting : Develop a core student team to encourage participation and ownership of the ministry, as well as foster growth and maturity among students.
- Ministry Planning : Develop and implement creative and engaging youth ministry programs, including Bible Studies on Fridays, worship services, retreats, and outreach activities.
- Parent Partnership : Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, communicating effectively and involving them in the youth ministry.
- Volunteer Coordination : Recruit, train, and supervise adult volunteers to support youth ministry initiatives.
- Administrative Duties : Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and manage budgets as needed.
