2nd Shift Materials Specialist – Team Lead
Reports to: Shipping/Receiving Supervisor
Direct Reports: No
Location: Hudson, WI
Employment Type: Full Time Hourly
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 10:30am-7pm, Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm

Examples of Duties:
- Promoting a safe and sustainable working environment through modeling safe behaviors as well as recognizing and resolving safety-related problems and being an active member and participant in RSG’s Emergency E-squad activities
- Establishing priorities and allocating work assignments to meet specific daily production requirements using lean management processes to meet customer expectations.
- Monitoring production rates, yields, and quality of products routinely, communicating results to employees and leveraging continuous improvement tools to improve scheduling, quality, and efficiency.
- Leading, coaching, and developing employees through the direct supervisor, floor presence, monitoring and coaching of production employees, providing recognition, overseeing training completion, policy administration, and participating in hiring processes. This may include contingent workers.
- Representing plant leadership team through supporting initiatives across the plant. Including but not limited to supervision coverage for alternative shifts, bringing on call, and servicing as a primary plant management representative.
- Must be functional with a PC device, and familiar with basic manufacturing operations principles, processes, and transactions.

Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. To be set up for success in this role from day one, RSG requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified before start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of one (1) year of combined experience working in a manufacturing or production environment in a private, public, government, or military setting
- OR-
- High School diploma/GED or higher (Completed and verified before start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of three (3) years of combined experience working in a manufacturing or production environment in a private, public, government o military setting.
- Highly desirable experience with the Vantage Epicor environment used in the storeroom and being able to train new and current team members.
- Operate a forklift truck in a safe, prescribed manner. Serve as an OSHA-certified fork truck operator trainer.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Works in conjunction with Supervisor required documentation for accident investigation and corrective actions Reports to the Supervisor on unsafe equipment or conditions that exist.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent leadership skills, compelling communications skills, and the ability to inspire, engage and motivate.
- Experience leading/executing operational excellence processes and tools and organizational learning and development programs in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of Operational Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, and Total Productive
- Excellent attendance record and work history.
