A DAY IN THE LIFE OF COUNTER SALES TRAINEE

Experienced team members work with you to help you learn the HVAC supply business. We will help you become familiar with our inventory of parts and equipment. You will grow into a position where customers trust and rely on you to do what it takes to solve their problems and help them succeed. You will become more confident as your product knowledge grows, along with your ability to offer the right solutions. You will take pride in the customer relationships you have cultivated. You will begin by receiving and putting up inventory and keeping the store organized while you observe and learn our products and good customer service techniques. When you are ready to start assisting customers, you will be supported by experienced team members. Once you learn the business, you will have job growth potential within the company. As you learn the products and the Company grows, you know there will be many opportunities for you at R&E Supply. Below is a list of responsibilities for Counter sales trainee.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be flexible and eager to learn. Be a dedicated team member who treats customers and co-workers in a friendly, helpful, and respectful manner.
• Develop good working relationships with customers and build trust and rapport. Be professional and create a positive customer experience.
• Answer incoming telephone calls or texts and greet customers who walk in the store. Be willing to multitask and make sure every customer is acknowledged.
• Be committed to learning a point-of-sale computer system to confirm inventory, quote, process orders and payments, and process customer returns and warranties.
• Assist customers in making product selections by asking questions and actively listening to customer needs and by seeking guidance from your experienced team members.
• Follow up promptly on all customer requests. With respect to special orders, proactively communicate with customers about any issues with their order.
• Maintain high standards in cleanliness and appearance of the showroom through stocking shelves, housekeeping, creating displays, etc.
• Solve customer complaints in a timely manner that balances customer requests with business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Dedicated to learning exceptional customer service skills.
• Willing to take the initiative to learn and be able to perform tasks with accuracy.
• Work well in a team environment, ask questions, seek advice, accept positive feedback.
• Basic computer and math skills helpful.
• Some customer service, inventory, and/or warehouse experience is helpful.

Hourly pay starts at $16.00/hour. This is a career opportunity for candidates with good customer service skills, the ability to learn inventory, and those who want to function as a dependable team member. A new employee bonus of $500 will be paid. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K with company contribution, paid time off, and holiday pay. Company shirts provided.
