Job Title: Development Project Coordinator

Reports To: Store Development Manager FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Type of Position: Full Time Effective Date: 3/1/25

Job Summary:

The Development Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning, design, and execution of new store construction, remodeling, and renovations. This role ensures that stores are developed efficiently, align with brand standards, enhance customer experience, and comply with local regulations. The position requires expertise in project management, store layout optimization, and collaboration with various stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and corporate teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Planning & Development:

• Support strategic plans for NTIs, remodels, and upgrades.

• Review and approve all Equipment Plans & Cabinet drawings for procuring items based on current schedules.

Store Design & Layout:

• Execute store layout designs that enhance customer experience and maximize operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and equipment vendors for project specific needs.

• Oversee Interior/Exterior Refuel Brand elements for all project types.

Project Management:

• Assist in the full life cycle of store development projects from inception to completion.

• Support updates for project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

• Coordinate with construction teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely project execution.

Sustainability & Innovation:

• Explore new retail technologies to enhance store functionality and customer experience.

• Manage Status updates & contracts with architects, contractors, and suppliers to optimize costs.

• Update budgets for store development projects in database.

• Ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.

Experience:

• 5 years of experience in retail store development, construction, or design.

• Experience in the convenience store, fuel station, or retail industry is preferred.

Technical & Management Skills:

• Knowledge of CAD software, project management tools, and design software.

• Strong knowledge of construction, permits, and retail design best practices.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
