We’re currently seeking a driven, experienced Security Operations Manager to lead operations, manage accounts, and develop high-performing teams throughout Florida.
Job Summary
The Security Operations Manager is responsible for leading field operations across multiple client sites while ensuring regulatory compliance, exceptional service delivery, and team performance. This role requires hands-on leadership, a deep understanding of Florida security laws, and a track record of business growth and account management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations including fixed posts, roving patrols, mobile units, and special assignments.
- Lead and mentor General and Branch Managers with coaching, development, and recognition.
- Travel regularly to client sites and industry events to strengthen relationships and address service needs.
- Maintain and grow current accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Deliver exceptional service by aligning regional security operations with client expectations and compliance standards.
- Manage P&L responsibilities including budgeting, revenue forecasting, and expense control.
- Monitor and audit Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and Incident Reports for accuracy, detail, and quality.
- Train and develop officers in line with FDACS Security Handbook and Florida Statute 493 requirements.
- Analyze operational metrics using the RSG Security Business Intelligence Platform to drive performance and accountability.
- Implement security protocols, emergency response plans, and officer training programs.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and enterprise teams to close business development opportunities.
- Identify and mitigate liability risks across client properties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10 with Associate’s/High School diploma).
- 4 years of financial management (P&L) experience.
- 10 years in service or security industry management (or 12–15 years with Associate’s/High School diploma).
- 7 years of team leadership and staff development experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Florida Statute 493, FDACS guidelines, and premise liability best practices.
- Demonstrated success managing armed/unarmed teams and roving patrol operations.
- Strong client relations, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, reporting platforms, and business intelligence tools.
- Valid Florida Class D and/or G Security Licenses preferred.
- Clean background and drug screening required.
Nice-to-Haves
- Military, law enforcement, or contract/proprietary security background.
- CPR, First Aid, or AED certifications.
- Experience with GPS patrol tracking and lone worker monitoring systems.
