Computer Aided Design Designer

Responsibilities:

• Create Detailed 3D Models: Utilize SolidWorks to develop intricate 3D models for various projects.
• Parametric Design: Implement parametric design principles to create models that can be easily modified and updated.
• Layout Interference Checking: Perform layout interference checking to ensure that different components fit together properly and do not interfere with each other.
• Maintain Master Model: Develop and maintain a master model to ensure consistency and accuracy throughout the design process.
• Collaborate with Team: Work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of designs.
• Revise and Update Models: Adjust models based on feedback from project stakeholders and ensure they meet project specifications.
• Ensure Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company requirements.
• Present Designs: Prepare and present design proposals to clients or project managers, demonstrating functionality and design integrity.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest developments in SolidWorks software and design technology.
• Maintain Documentation: Maintain an organized database of all CAD drawings and models for future reference and use.

Requirements:

• Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in design, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience with SolidWorks CAD software.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, extensive knowledge of 3D modeling and design principles, and proficiency in mathematics and engineering.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods and use hands to operate computers.
