Shipping Clerk

Description:

The shipping clerk will be responsible for coordinating and managing the daily operations of our shipping department. This person will have a strong understanding of shipping operations, excellent computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Shipping Clerk will be tasked with preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup, verifying and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments, and performing regular stock checks to ensure accurate inventory management.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule, which includes loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping products.
• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Ensure accurate inventory management and perform regular stock checks.
• Use computer systems to enter data, track shipments, and manage inventory.
• Communicate and coordinate with internal departments and external logistics partners.
• Follow company procedures and safety regulations.
• Provide support in loading freight when additional assistance is needed.
• Assist in other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience
• Previous experience in a shipping/receiving role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to life and move objects as needed.
