Job Summary:
A CNC Machinist III position is available in Simi Valley, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience with Live Tooling, minimal supervision, and the ability to maintain close tolerances.
About the Role:
- Complete set-ups with minimal supervision/assistance.
- Responsible for all phases of part operation set-up to achieve first article acceptance.
- Perform and maintain accurate in-process quality inspection and records.
Key Qualifications:
- At least five (5) years experience operating set-up on CNC Lathe and Mill equipment.
- Multiple Turret and Multi-Axis's experience, Y / B Axis a plus.
- Skilled in the use of indicator, gage, dial bores, and plate inspection methods for first article and in-process inspection of precision machined parts.
- Ability to maintain close tolerances (within .0005") of ID's, hold .0005 profile, roundness.
- Knowledge of cutting tools feeds, speeds, and inserts tool life for aerospace machining.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and interpret blue print and quality requirements.
- Ability to communicate with employees and management in a positive manner.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 25 lbs. (over 25 lbs. with assistance).
