Overview
Ciena Healthcare, Michigan's largest provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation care services, seeks a passionate registered nurse to fill the role of Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control RN. As an educator for our facility and other in-service educational programs, this nurse will design systems and approve actions to prevent or control infections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and provide educational programs on all shifts and for all departments.
- Participate in staff evaluation process by providing attendance records and observation of employee performance.
- Provide general facility orientation to all new employees and ongoing in-service education.
- Plan and provide a monthly and annual schedule of planned education programs.
- Ensure Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) meet the annual 12-hour in-service requirement.
- Actively participate in quality assurance and report concerns to supervisor.
- Design systems and approve actions to prevent or control infections.
