What are the responsibilities and job description for the MDS Coordinator (RN) P/T position at Regency Care of Arlington?

Responsibilities
- Communication skills to work with nursing staff for implementation of care plan
- Oversees care plan meeting with resident and family
- Assures that care plans are keep current and reflective
- Verifies that assessments transmitted to database with necessary corrections
- Reviews of the MDS for accuracy for any trends that need education
- Monitors documentation of Medicare and managed care resident and educate as needed
- Monitoring of QM with emphasis on those impacting five-star rating
- Experience in CMI for best outcomes and guidelines for documentation required
- Knowledge of restorative programs and implementation
- Participation in Quality Improvement program in the facility
- Have 2-4 years work experience in MDS and long term care
- Point Click Care experience preferred
Qualifications
- RN degree from an accredited college (minimum ASN)
- Currently registered in the state
- Have AANAC certification
- Must have current CPR certification
