The HR Director is responsible for overseeing the company’s Human Resource function to support organizational growth and mission. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to managing employee relations, compliance, policy and procedure design and implementation, and training and development. The HR Director will work closely with the VP of HR and other company stakeholders to ensure the achievement of program goals to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing workforce aligned with the company’s goals and values.
This position supports the largest non-profit of skilled nursing location in Texas, so it is required to reside our service area: Rio Grande Valley, Corpus Christi area, Houston area, San Antonio area, DFW, Austin area, or the Victoria/Crossroads area.
- Assist with the design and implementation of policies and procedures related to employee relations, compliance, training, development, retention and other operational areas of HR.
- Recruit, train, mentor, supervise and evaluate the Regional HR team.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle while identifying areas of opportunity and improvement.
- Create company training and development plans to meet the personal, professional and organizational needs of the company’s team members.
- Oversee employee relations, provide guidance, support, and resolution of employee issues and concerns, and ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and employee feedback mechanisms to foster a positive and inclusive work culture.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and reporting requirements, and proactively address HR-related legal and compliance issues.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging HR technologies, and share knowledge and insights within the organization.
- Respond to internal and external requests for service, information, and/or data.
- Continually evaluate culture and climate of the company. Provides recommendations and plans to accomplish company goals and objectives.
- Oversee team project plans, committees, and completes other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required. Equivalent experience may be considered.
7-10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in long-term care or similar industry. Must have experience with multi-site and remote management. Knowledge of federal, state, local legal and regulatory requirements in Human Resources. Must have knowledge and demonstrated ability in financial review, reporting and process improvement. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. Must be able to create, deliver and train various HR related content. Strong leadership, collaboration, organization, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential.
