As the Payroll Associate with Regency Management Services, you will support payroll processing by inputting data efficiently and accurately. You will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. You will need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem solving, and a thorough understanding of payroll processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Maintain and update payroll records, including salaries, deductions, and tax information.
· Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy before payroll processing.
· Calculate and process overtime, bonuses, commissions, and other special payroll items.
· Handle payroll discrepancies, resolve errors, and address employee payroll inquiries.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
· Prepare payroll reports for management and finance teams.
· Support administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, FSA, and other voluntary benefits.
· Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.
· Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions and provide guidance on plan options.
· Act as support during annual open enrollment
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
· 1 to 2 years of Payroll, Bookkeeping or Benefits experience, multi-state experience a plus.
· Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems; Paycom experience a plus.
Other Qualifications:
· Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and benefits compliance.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees and vendors.
· Knowledge of garnishments and auditing.
