The quotations specialist will support the sales efforts by generating pricing for incoming requests for a variety of account types. This position provides pricing consultation throughout the sales process. It organizes, produces, and follows up on requests for pricing from manufacturers. This position will also work to deepen and expand relationships with key sourcing partners. It will provide the necessary pricing information to the account assimilation team once an account is won and turned over to operations.
Responsibilites and Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sourcing product & services at competitive prices (specification driven)
- Negotiating pricing with manufacturers
- Calculating and updating pricing information
- Building Specification Binders, via cloud based program
- Ability to read complex set of plans, via digital files
- Accurate Takeoffs using digital software
- Responding to quote requests from internal customers and end users
- Generating RFQ’s for vendors
- Organization of pricing information
- Timely, aggressive, creative, profitable and accurate quotations on a consistent basis.
- Exceptional service to internal sales team, project managers and customers.
- Efficient follow-up with Field and Customer requests
- Cross-team Cooperation
- Other job related tasks and duties as requested
- Coordination with Project Services
- Coordination with LD, supporting large team projects as needed
- Intermediate understanding of luminaires, including lumens, beams, CCT, etc.
- Collaborates with internal project teams to run successful programs
- Manages multiple national account rollouts
- Client Facing
- Contributing to client calls and presentations
- Help qualifying new sales leads
- Strong coordination and interaction with end users, engineers and architects
- Oversight of daily quotation requests

REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years in the lighting industry required. Ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills and be highly motivated. Solid computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is a must.
Language Skills. Must be a gifted communicator with strong interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Applications with emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook, cloud based programs. Proficiency in Countfire, Parspec, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, AGi32 Preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities. Must be organized with the ability to multi-task. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be professional and possess the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, customers, and contractors.
