The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Scientist of Vector Core-CLD, this intern will play a role in cell line engineering for disease model cell line generation and the development of novel cell lines for producing rAAV (recombinant Adeno-Associated Virus) gene therapy vectors under supervision. Additionally, this individual will assist the Senior Scientist with assigned tasks/projects and communicate results to the relevant groups.

The Opportunity

Additionally, this individual will assist the Senior Scientist with assigned tasks/projects and communicate results to the relevant groups.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist with transfections for AAV production and cell line engineering
- Assist with cell line development team in gene edited stable cell line development and to screen and verify novel gene editing targets
- Assist with job description audit to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Communicate results to the relevant groups
- Assist with other activities as assigned
- It is imperative that REGENXBIO employees embody our core values by working collaboratively, building strong relationships and using clear communication to meet shared objectives
- Currently attending a college or university majoring in Cell/Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Virology, or relevant scientific discipline
- Hands on experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques
- Knowledge or experience in basic molecular biology including PCR and CRISPR Cas9 gene editing, is preferred
- Knowledge in analytical assays including restriction fragment length polymorphism, Western blot and cell-based assay is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office
- Good organizational skills with the ability to work on several assignments simultaneously

Salary : $22 - $26
