SUMMARY: The Clinical Supervisor (No Wrong Door) is responsible for the supervision of Options Counselors and Case Assistant staff, providing regular consultation. In addition to training, evaluating, and motivating staff, the Clinical Supervisor (No Wrong Door) will also support staff in maximizing internal systems, developing person-centered action plans, ensuring participant engagement, coordinating with community resources, understanding of benefit options, and ensuring high levels of quality work and documentation at all times. Works with the Community Planning Manager to determine service direction, implementation and enhancement, ensuring high levels of participant service. Responsible for management of No Wrong Door procedural workflows and service contracts of sub-recipient partners. This position is responsible to act as a confidential representative of the Agency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge of contractual requirements related to No Wrong Door program (Person Centered Options Counseling and SHIP/MIPPA services) to ensure compliance.
- Manage Options Counselors and No Wrong Door Case Assistant(s) with a vision towards maximum staff empowerment, promoting internal problem-solving, innovation and a positive Agency culture.
- Provide oversight of the Options Counselors scheduling systems and assessment process.
- Assure staff efforts promote maximum self-sufficiency of participants served including
the principles of person-centered planning and thinking.
- Direct plans for the training of new staff and volunteers, and sufficient mentoring to afford maximum self-sufficiency.
- Enhancing operations by ensuring sufficient staffing and adequate access to services.
- Developing and ensuring compliance with procedures and policies for the Agency and No Wrong Door sub-recipient partners.
- Assist individual Options Counselors in the implementation of Person-Centered Service Action Plans, including services requiring prior authorization and complex case issues.
- Ongoing management of community resource database.
- Seek patterns of best practice for service utilization of LTSS, community resources and informal supports.
- Perform site and supervisory visits as needed and minimally on an annual basis for all Agency staff and sub-recipient partners.
- Management of sub-recipient partner contracts and annual audits, as well as oversight of compliance with contractual requirements by sub-recipient staff and volunteers.
- Conduct interdisciplinary meetings with staff.
- Work with Community Planning Manager and Chief Services Officer in No Wrong Door program administration.
- Represent the Agency at state level administrative tribunals as needed.
- Participate in Agency Management Team as needed.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Other duties assigned by supervisor or Chief Executive Officer consistent with the employee’s skill level.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Social Work or Human Service-related focus, preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Service-related field
- Demonstrated skill and ability to supervise clinical staff
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from end users, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or Board of Directors.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Other Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to analyze budget and policy material, and write well.
- Ability to manage time and work well with people on an individual basis.
- Ability to travel throughout the region (Hillsdale, Jackson and Lenawee Counties) and the
State of Michigan to attend meetings/trainings.
