Position Summary:

Provides leadership, project management, and oversight in the areas of quality improvement, process enhancement, and outcomes measurement for the diverse range of RIV AAA programs and services. This role is essential for developing, maintaining, and implementing an agency-wide quality strategy and system that complies with regulatory requirements, ensuring that all products and services meet or exceed RIV AAA and funders’ quality standards, thereby maximizing the mission impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with management team to implement quality and process improvement systems and harmonize them across the agency.

Work with agency program directors, managers and other member of the agency administrative team to analyze trends and interpret data and to develop, implement and monitor processes that improve program outcomes.

Assist in quality and policy development for new product lines within the agency to assure coordinated and compatible product results.

Responsible for tracking implementation of and compliance with all quality assurance systems, including but not limited to Michigan Choice Clinical Quality Assurance Review (MICQAR), National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and other accrediting bodies, federal, state and internal operational standards. Serves as contact person for MICQAR team and coordinates MICQAR activity.

Develop and implement training and other solutions to enhance outcomes in collaboration with members of the agency management and supervisory teams.

Develop and maintain knowledge of financial and service eligibility regulations, procedures and related manuals and serves as consultant to staff as needed. Updates manuals and other documents to remain current and in compliance with certain state and federal program standards.

Lead staff person for agency internal and external quality reviews. Responsible for writing policies and procedure manuals for certain state and federal programs. Keeps policies updated at least annually. Trains relevant staff on updates. Collaborates closely with the Compliance Director to ensure that all policies and procedures reflect current regulatory standards and best practices. Works with agency administrative and supervisory teams to monitor staff progress towards full compliance of all policies.

Collaborate closely with the Compliance Director to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Works with employees across the agency in key roles to ensure high quality service is delivered via provider monitoring, local consumer groups, client survey satisfaction data, and other monitoring tools.

Meet regularly with members of the agency management and supervisory teams to review quality outcome measures and to assure successful tracking and processing of required reports and internal management tools.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred combined with 2-4 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office suite of tools required; proficiency in Office 365 SharePoint and PowerBI preferred. Ability to multitask. Strong organizational and customer service skills; ability to work well independently and within teams; and cultural sensitivity a must.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from end users, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Other Skills & Abilities:

Must have the ability to analyze budget and policy material, write well, manage time, and work well with people on a personal basis.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and express oneself. The employee frequently operates a computer, using other tools and controls, and positioning oneself to operate computer and other office equipment. The employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, and then occasionally move about inside the office to access workstation, office equipment, and file storage areas, etc. The employee must be able to travel in all kinds of weather.

While performing the duties of this job the employee may need to regularly move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities for this job may include close vision, depth perception, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
