POSTION SUMMARY:
Direct Support Professional (DSP) helps individuals with disabilities lead independent and fulfilling lives by providing direct support with daily living activities, including personal care, medication administration, and skill development. DSPs also focus on fostering positive relationships, ensuring client safety, and promoting community involvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Home Management: Performing light housekeeping tasks, laundry, and meal planning/preparation.
- Transportation and Errands: Accompanining clients to appointments, running errands, and providing transportation.
- Safety and Well-being: Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients, and reporting any changes in their condition or family situation.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of services provided and client progress
- Skill Development: Encouraging self-help activities and teaching life skills like communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Minimum age of 17.
Driver's license and vehicle insurance.
