What are the responsibilities and job description for the Imaging Support Specialist/PACS Coordinator position at Regional Diagnostic Radiology?
Regional Diagnostic Radiology is seeking an Imaging Support Specialist to be responsible for ensuring that processes support the Radiologists and administrators in their day to day workflow, answer the Radiologist hotline and ensure the PACS is able to present images to the Radiologist and other physicians (internal and external) when requested. We are seeking an individual with knowledge of Medical Imaging and PACS experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. PACS daily workflow and troubleshooting.
2. VR and PACS workflow management.
3. Ensures all proper documentation is received so radiologists have accurate information to interpret exams.
4. Answers Physician Hotline. Forwards calls and acts as a liaison for RDR and external clients.
5. Assist in scheduling support.
6. Acts as the liaison for all local and regional hospital and clinics sites and radiologists.
7. Provides support to Radiologists.
8. Completes data entry and provides monthly /quarterly reporting to various staff members.
9. Manage transcription.
10. Work addendums.
11. Perform quality audits daily and/or weekly to ensure accuracy.
12. Manage unassigned worklist reports to make sure all reports are completed.
13. After hours on call rotation responsibility
14. Attendance and Dependability: The employee can be depended on to report to work at the scheduled time and is seldom absent from work.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in medical imaging.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
- Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications.
- Verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to self-direct.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and is conscientious, about assignments.
WORKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Normal Medical Clinic Environment: Indoors in a clean, well illuminated area of constant temperature in which one is exposed to only noise from business machines and medical practice equipment. Protective measures are necessary based on the level of exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous substances.
PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
· Lifting: 5-25 pounds periodically.
· Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient for operation of standard office equipment.
· Repetitive movement of digits.
· Normal range of hearing and vision.
· Ability to speak in a clearly understood manner.
· Prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, lifting, and stretching.
· Attendance and Dependability: The employee can be depended on to report to work at the scheduled time and is seldom absent from work.
· 72-hour per pay period
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
