Position Summary
The Branch Manager oversees daily operations of the Resource Center, which offers wrap-around services such as a healthy food pantry, benefits assistance, and community support. This role involves managing staff, volunteers, inventory, and community relations to ensure efficient service delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Implement and maintain inventory controls, including tracking food distribution metrics, ordering food and conducting regular inventory counts.
- Food Safety: Enforce compliance with food safety standards as defined by relevant authorities (Feeding America, Texas Dept. or Ag, USDA, etc.).
- Facilities Management: Oversee daily operations, including building maintenance, equipment functionality, and vehicle management.
- Distribution Oversight: Ensure efficient, clean, and safe food distribution services to neighbors.
- Neighbor Intake management - Oversee and manage the neighbor intake process, including maintaining the neighbor portal, identifying and addressing service gaps, and ensuring a high standard of experience for all neighbors and provides any additional data collection, tracking and reporting as needed.
Facilities Management
- Oversee opening and closing of center, general building maintenance and ensure proper function of facility, equipment and vehicles are adequate.
- Ensure safe, clean and daily facilities management to efficient operation of the center.
Personnel Supervision
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff; provide performance coaching and support professional development.
- Schedule staff to meet operational needs and maintain a safe, productive work environment.
- Establish performance metrics and goals for team members.
- Effectively communicate ideas and concerns to direct or indirect supervisors in a timely and professional manner.
Admin and Partnerships
- Monitor performance targets, manage the branch budget, and meet operational goals.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to meet service and operational needs.
- Wrap-Around Services Coordination - Recruit, schedule, and coordinate wrap-around services to provide comprehensive and consistent support for neighbors.
- Community and Donor Engagement - Foster relationships with donors, community leaders, and partners to strengthen fundraising and support, while collaborating with the ETFB Development team to promote the center's role and impact within the community.
- Act as a community liaison for local disaster response, regularly participate in community coalitions and events to promote the ETFB Resource Center as well as other ETFB programs and services.
- Participate in the organization and implementation of special projects as directed.
- Serve as liaison with ETFB and occasionally travel to Main Office and other Resource centers and assist when needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and ETFB regulations.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Chief Impact Officer and Branch Director.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in business administration, public health services, or a related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 57 years of progressive leadership experience, including staff and volunteer management.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and foster positive relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with inventory systems preferred.
- Problem-solving and independent decision-making abilities.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and minimum age of 21.
Language
- English required; Spanish proficiency preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and climb ladders.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and respond to emergencies as needed.
