We are an ever-growing food bank based in Latham, NY and Montgomery, NY. One of our sole missions is to #alleviatehunger! In 2023, we distributed over 48 million pounds, which equated to 40 million meals, to our neighbors who live within our 23-county NYS footprint. Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team as our Agency Technology Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting partners with order placement, providing amazing service to our partners, and coordinating the rollout of Service Insights. Service Insights is our initiative to collect basic information about our community members accessing food services. Our goal is to learn more about who we serve so that we can work to better meet their needs and measure our impact.
We are looking for a candidate with skills in technology, training, and the ability to work with diverse audiences to make technology accessible and helpful to inexperienced users.
In conjunction with the Partner Technology and Support Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:
Customer Service/Technical Support
- Assisting agencies with order placement, ensuring that orders are accurate and properly managed.
- Providing technical support to users in a friendly, timely manner in person and online, including online navigation for PWW and Service Insights.
- Troubleshooting data inconsistencies including duplicates, typos and overuse of anonymous visits.
Project Coordination
- Assisting in the network rollout of Service Insights software and ongoing programming.
- Identifying technology needs for agencies/partners.
Training
- Evaluating program readiness and schedule agencies for onboarding.
- Updating training materials in a variety of formats including a written training manual, online/webinars, videos, and in person training scripts.
- Visiting partners to train, observe, troubleshoot implementation, and offer ongoing support.
Our ideal candidate has:
- An Associate’s degree and two years of related work experience OR the equivalent related experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Experience with database and/or website platforms, troubleshooting software applications and equipment preferred.
- Experience in teaching, training and/or adult education preferred.
- Ability to work with diverse populations; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, public speaking and writing skills, and strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and sit for extended periods of time.
- A valid NYS driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Food Bank’s 23 county service area.

The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley was founded in 1990 to expand and improve service to charitable agencies and donor partners in Orange, Ulster, Dutchess, Rockland, Sullivan, and Putnam counties. Working in partnership with the food industry, the Food Bank collects large donations of unmarketable but wholesome food and distributes it to non-profit programs feeding our neighbors in need in 23 counties.
