Description
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
- Mechanical repairs of patient/resident equipment (beds, wheel chairs, bedside tables, gurneys and other hospital and extended care equipment)
- Service work - Including but not limited to:
- Electrical repair or replacement of light receptacles(bulb/ballast replacements)
- Plumbing maintenance and repair.(clogged stools, clogged sinks, etc.)
- Kitchen equipment maintenance and repair of garbage disposal, dish washer, food carts and small appliances.
- Minor repairs of building and equipment, desks, shelving and sheet rock repairs.
- Inspection/Repair of both manual and automatic doors
- Preventative maintenance - Including but not limited to:
- Air Handler/Exhaust Fan Preventative Maintenance
- Kitchen Equipment Preventative Maintenance
- Pnuematic Tube System Preventative Maintenance
- TJC Building Inspections
- * High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training for child and dependent adult abuse within three (3) months of hire.
- Valid Drivers License, must meet Mercy's motor vehicle standards
- Working Knowledge of basic hand tools
- 1-2 years of general maintenance experience(preferred
