The Donor Database & Relations Manager is responsible for assisting in the cultivation, stewardship, and retention of RH donors, as well as the ongoing management of Regional Hospice's Network for Good donor database and support of all fundraising events. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in both donor cultivation & stewardship AND donor database management & reporting. Additionally, must possess outstanding interpersonal & multitasking skills and work independently & proactively.
Essential functions include:
- inputting gifts into donor records;
- maintaining highly accurate and current donor data that effectively tracks key information, cultivation activities & histories, and solicitation & reporting calendars;
- reconciling gifts with the Finance Department;
- generating various mailing lists for the Development team and others;
- working with the Network for Good staff to troubleshoot problems with the database and staying current with system updates.;
- generating various financial and dashboard reports, donor status reports including retention rates, gift history, and other key metrics;
- generating timely acknowledgement letters to donors and solicitation letters as required;
- working with Development leadership to participate in donor stewardship activities including prospect research, donor cultivation, solicitation, and to foster ongoing relationships with donors through telephone, email, and in person meetings;
- working with Philanthropy Manager to distribute quarterly online Development Newsletter through Network for Good;
- assisting with the planning and execution of special events including fundraising, donor appreciation, and community outreach events;
- collaborating with colleagues to promote events through social and traditional media.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or related field; financial background preferred.
- 3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising/development with a focus on donor database management and reporting.
- Experience with the Network for Good donor database preferred.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload independently.
- Outstanding ability to multitask in a calm, well-composed manner.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with donors, volunteers, staff, and community partners.
- Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising best practices including donor retention, stewardship, and event management.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google Docs, and other productivity tools.
