Reporting to the President & CEO, the Business Development / Provider Relations Manager is responsible for proactively building solid relationships with new and existing referral sources to deepen and expand our referral base. Working primarily in the field, this sales role coordinates and facilitates communication between RVNAhealth and targeted referral sources to help RVNAhealth achieve its growth and business objectives. The Provider Relations Manager will oversee the Account Managment team and business development in all service lines : Home Health, Hospice, private pay and other additional services as needed.
This position will require travel / driving throughout Fairfield County, CT.
Responsibilities :
- Proactively identifies, establishes and nurtures positive, responsive working relationships with new and assigned accounts.
- Creates and maintains account profiles for all accounts in assigned territory by calling on physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, care managers, case managers, assisted living facilities and community agencies within an assigned territory to promote our breath of offerings.
- In conjunction with the President & CEO, manages assigned territory by creating and maintaining a sales plan and pipeline, including forecasts, contact and outreach to assigned accounts. Identifies opportunities and prioritize account activities to advance accounts through the account continuum by leveraging a structured plan of contact and outreach.
- Tracks outcomes and provides regular, timely reports of activity on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Achieves assigned sales quota to attain RVNAhealth growth and / or business objectives.
- Demonstrates effective territory management, including time management, forecasting and utilization of time and resources with accounts to achieve sales quota.
- Works in concert with Intake, Marketing and sales team to nurture relationships with referral sources and enhance understanding of RVNAhealth services and capabilities.
- Develops and delivers educational and consultative services that broaden understanding of home health, hospice services, bereavement, palliative care, pain and symptom management, advance care planning and other related issues and topics.
- Has ability to articulate the criteria for home health and hospice admission and educates referral sources on these criteria.
- Makes referrals to RVNAhealth, as appropriate from the field.
- Facilitates home health care and related conversations for health care professionals, patients and families in a variety of settings. Serves as a resource on developing communication skills related to these situations.
- Assists the President & CEO with developing and implementing the annual sales plan.
- Identifies opportunities for RVNAhealth to expand offerings, increase referral volume and serve more patients and families.
- Maintains and builds industry, product and selling skills knowledge.
Management responsibilities include ensuring effective teamwork, providing ongoing training and professional development, monitoring performance against established goals, and recognizing achievements, fostering staff growth, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations, and organizing work distribution while addressing performance needs and maintaining compliance.
