Job Description
TITLE: Administrative Assistant - Human Resources
DEPARTMENT: Regional Office of Education #8
QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent customer relations skills
Proficient with productivity software including Microsoft Office
Outstanding organizational skill and attention to detail
Previous experience with web-based applications
Ability to manage multiple tasks while responding to ongoing customer service needs
REPORTS TO: Office Manager
WORK SCHEDULE: 8:30- 4:00 daily; ½ hour lunch; 12 months
COMPENSATION: Regionally competitive pay that is commensurate with experience.

DUTIES:
- Employment Management
- Maintains employee files
- Provides new hire packets
- Creates contracts
- Calculates employee salary changes
- Employment Verifications
- Benefits
- Manages enrollments
- Communicates with employees regarding changes
- Payroll Processing
- Collects and maintains employee time sheets
- Completes bi-monthly payroll processing
- Handles accounts payable payments
- Completes bi-monthly, monthly, and quarterly reporting
- Prepares employee files, payroll reports, and paperwork for audits.
- Manage PearsonVUE testing center
- Scheduling
- Process Management
- GED Certificate and Transcript Processing
- Compose annual reports for ROE8 and State of Illinois.
- Assist in government data collection, including census reporting and IWAS.
- Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems, and use computers for spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and web-based applications.
- Assist with reception and answering phones as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
