Summary: 100% Remote
Review, analyze and evaluate health systems and user needs. Gathers and analyzes healthcare data from multiple sources. Responsible for collecting, compiling, and maintaining various sources of data related to organizational development, process improvement, and strategic planning. Abstracts and utilizes information as required to prepare statistical reports and files. Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, etc. used to drive key business decisions.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Systems, Health Information technology or related program or equivalent education/experience in a related area. Master’s degree preferred. Master’s Degree in a related field may be utilized in lieu of experience.
Experience Requirement:
Three (3) years’ experience in data management and project coordination required.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzes healthcare data from multiple sources. Including, but not limited to, SQL databases, insurance processing data, clinical quality data, and other electronic sources, electronic health records, etc.
- Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studies system capabilities.
- Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications
- Build models that capture a wide range of healthcare operations and analyze data for executives, departments, managers, providers, and other internal resources
- Analyze ways to both increase healthcare quality and reduce costs while streamlining processes using technical skills
- Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and programs of the client group
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyzes of current processes using operational metrics and reports
- Suggest changes to leadership using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes
- Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must have experience in extracting and analyzing clinical data.
- Must have experience with SQL. Addition experience with ETL, Python or other coding languages used to process data is highly preferred.
- Understanding of the healthcare industry required.
- Experience with dashboard design and delivery required.
- Experience with dashboard design and delivery required.
- Experience with Soarian and Cerner or other electronic health record system required.
- Knowledge of QI tools, medical records, excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to gather, analyze and communicate technical and clinical data.
- Advanced level of computer software skills, including Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheets and graphs.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects/assignments.
Supervision Provided by this Job:
- There are no lead or supervisory responsibilities
