What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant/Generalist position at Regional School District No. 8?
Regional School District 8 is accepting applications for a 12-month, 35 – 40 hour per week, Human Resource Assistant/Generalist. This non-affiliated position will work closely with the Superintendent’s office to support district staff and carry out general human resource processes and procedures.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support hiring process (posting vacancies, onboarding of new employees)
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employee policies and procedures
- Collaborate with business and accounting office(s) with matters related to budget/employee contracts
- Support employees requiring leave
- Ensure the timely completion of required employee forms
- Maintain employee databases and personnel files
- State and district reporting as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experiences in the human resources/personnel field preferred
- Knowledge of state and federal requirements pertaining to employment practices preferred
- Proficient with high range of technology (Google and Microsoft suites, School ERP Pro)
- High degree of human relation skill
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Self-motivated and able to work and solve problems independently
Compensation is anticipated to be between $25.00 and $27.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
