We have an exciting opportunity to join our team with Regions Hospital as a Burn & Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator.
This position is a vital and integral part of the trauma team and works under the direction of the Trauma and Burn Program Leadership, this positions primary responsibility is the coordination and facilitation of the Trauma and Burn Performance Improvement Program which encompasses all areas and disciplines of the hospital that participate in the care of admitted injured and/ or burn patients.
Responsibilities Include
Required Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse Program. Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: Three years of clinical experience in adult and pediatric trauma, burn emergency medicine, or critical care.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Minnesota State Registered Nurse BSN license.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience: Burn or trauma care experience.
Prior experience with performance improvement.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: TNCC certification or equivalent, or eligibility, ENPC / PALS certification or equivalent, or eligibility TCRN preferred.

Responsibilities Include
- Coordination and facilitation of performance improvement data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes.
- Participates in Trauma/Burn Registry data analysis.
- Collaborates closely with Trauma and Burn Program Leadership to assure compliance with trauma and burn standards, National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB) and Burn Quality Care Platform (BQCP), and MN Trauma/Burn Registry guidelines.
- Knowledge of the scope of services available locally, regionally, and nationally for the patient with trauma needs,
- Knowledge of Performance Improvement (PI) principles and strong analytical skills and computer literacy.
- Knowledge of Trauma Registries, ICD-10-CM coding and knowledge of technology and software applications preferred.
