What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend per diem OT position at Regions Hospital?
Regions Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work one weekend a month and one holiday a year. This position would be trained in both acute care and acute rehab. Please apply if you would like to join this dynamic team!
In this position you will provide direct patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, with pediatric care required for some specialty positions. This position uses a variety of occupational therapy techniques to restore individuals to maximum functional ability, independence, participation and freedom from pain.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- Licensed in MN as an Occupational Therapist
- Registration with the Minnesota State Department of Health as an Occupational Therapist
- Current certification with the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy within 6 months
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Entry level skills and knowledge as an Occupational Therapist.
- Ability to work 2 weekend shifts per month & one holiday per year when working in Per Diem OT - Weekend job title.
- Ability to work one holiday per year in Per Diem OT job title.
- Ability to flex hours up in order to meet the changes in census in the Occupational Therapist – Flex role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
Experience in similar settings/diagnoses
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Advanced certification and/or licensure to support position.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in area of occupational therapy specialty Strong communication and training skills Service-oriented manner - connect, motivate, actively listen Critical thinking and time management skills Knowledge and experience with EPIC medical record Basic computer skills

Salary : $71,300 - $90,300
