Summary
The School of Health Sciences at Regis College is seeking a half-time, 12-month, Assistant Professor to teach courses in speech-language pathology and supervise graduate students at an off-campus site. Courses will be taught in-person on the Weston campus. Applicants with any area of speech-language pathology expertise are welcome to apply. Current affiliation with a medical site treating adults (i.e., 18 years of age) is preferable. Essential Functions:
- Supervise graduate students at an off-campus location (spring, summer, fall).
- Teach graduate-level courses on campus.
Renewal:
- Reappointment beyond the academic year is contingent upon performance effectiveness as determined by the Dean of the School of Health Sciences and the MSSLP Program Director.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field. A PhD, EdD, or other research doctoral degree is desirable.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Massachusetts licensure in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
- At least two years of post-master’s clinical experience as a speech-language pathologist. At least three years of post-master’s clinical experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to uphold the University’s commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods and instructional technology.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Academic teaching environment which will include lecture, communication with students, and grading examinations and assignments.
- Clinical teaching environment which will include working with clients with disabilities and supervising graduate students in their initial off-campus placements.
