Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Personal Household Assistant to support the daily operations of a private residence in Cornelius, NC. This role involves a wide range of household responsibilities including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, pet care, errands, and light event support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, trustworthy, and experienced in managing domestic tasks with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Housekeeping
- Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, dishwashing, and window cleaning.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of all rooms including kitchen, bathrooms, living areas, and entryways
- Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and organized.
- Meal Preparation
- Grocery shopping and pantry/fridge restocking
- Light cooking or meal prep based on preferences provided
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen after food preparation
- Pet Care (Dog-Specific)
- Daily feeding, watering, and basic grooming (brushing, nail checks)
- Poop scooping and yard cleanup
- Occasional transport to vet or grooming appointments
- Daycare drop-off and pick-up
- Overnight pet sitting/boarding as needed
- Pet supply restocking and organizing.
- Laundry & Linen Management
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize all household laundry
- Manage towels and bedding; change and refresh linens as scheduled
- Ironing, steaming, and minor clothing repairs as needed
- Coordinate with dry cleaning vendors; manage pickup/drop-off
- Household Organization & Errands
- Sort and manage incoming mail and packages; handle returns
- Coordinate home organization projects (e.g., closets, pantry)
- Schedule and coordinate with household vendors or service professionals (e.g., cleaners, caterers, event rentals)
- Support planning and setup for house parties or gatherings
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (personal assistant, household manager, domestic worker, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time-management skills
- High level of discretion, trust, and confidentiality
- Positive attitude and service-oriented demeanor
- Comfortable around dogs and experienced in pet care
- Ability to cook or prepare simple meals
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks (e.g., cleaning, carrying laundry, walking dog)
- Experience coordinating vendors or managing small-scale household events
- Basic culinary skills or nutrition-conscious meal prep knowledge
- Familiarity with smart home systems or home management apps (e.g., Instacart, Google Calendar)
- Background check and references required prior to employment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
