About the Role:
We are seeking a highly professional and organized Front Desk Receptionist/ Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service. Your main end result will be to ensure that our clients and visitors have a positive experience when they visit our office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experience Medical Receptionist who is multitasking oriented, motivated, able to handle a high volume of patients, phone calls and charts. Must be self-starter, Have EMR and medical records, check in and outpatients experience and willing to learn all aspects of our physiatry team
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in a customer service or Medical Receptionist role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate' degree in a related field.
- Experience in a professional office environment.
- Bilingual is a plus
- Experience with scheduling software ECW
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate department or individual.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Schedule appointments and meetings for staff members.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
- Providing superior customer service to all patients and guests
- Answer multi-line phones
- Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
- Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents
- Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits
- Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician availability
- Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to help them schedule testing for off-site services
- Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
- Minimum 2-year previous experience in a medical practice
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice
- The ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients
- The ability to work in a team environment
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
Skills:
As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will utilize your exceptional communication and customer service skills on a daily basis. You will also need to be highly organized and able to multitask effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills will be necessary to complete administrative tasks. Preferred qualifications such as a degree in a related field or experience in a professional office environment will be beneficial in this role. Bilingual skills and experience with scheduling software will also be useful.
