Under the general supervision of the Engineering Manager – Manufacturing Quality, perform a variety of LEAN and Six Sigma work in the factory’s Metrology Lab. Design, perform, observe and record results of metrology tests to get accurate information for cross-functional groups. Recommend design changes and provide technical direction to other departments as required.
Will review products and processes and make suggestions for improvement.

Specific Responsibilities
- Support all metrology work by writing procedures and documentation to better facilitate the tasks required by cross-functional departments.
- Work with Production, Supplier Quality, Plant Quality, and Service Departments as well as Design and Manufacturing Engineering personnel to determine root causes of quality issues.
- Work directly with Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing Quality to help design and implement jigs and fixtures utilizing CAD software and the plant’s 3D printer.
- Maintain complete records of all tests and analysis’ conducted, procedures used and results obtained.
- Develop new test procedures of moderate complexity. Procedures will be associated with 3D printing, Parts Analysis, Metrology and Smart Tool Programming. Must have knowledge of Metrology equipment.
- Maintain the current database utilizing Gagetrak and Met-Team.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Associate Degree.
- Two years minimum experience in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering.
