Treasurer (Part-Time)

Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Williamsport, MD

Seeking a part-time treasurer who is familiar with the financial needs of non-profits, can work well with diverse teams, and is about to make sound financial recommendations and decisions for Rehoboth United Methodist Church, the church trustees, and the Rehoboth Learning Center.

Responsibilities include…

• Ability to hold confidence
• Ability to use computer and software applications related to finance and communications.
• Ability to prepare effective financial reports/correspondence for the church, trustees, and learning center, articulate analysis of the reports, and offering guidance when asked.
• Ability to maintain working relationships with general membership and other staff members
• A commitment to Rehoboth UMC’s Mission statement.
• Availability to attend most weekly staff meetings, monthly board meetings, and other meetings as needed.
• Completion of the Sexual Misconduct Questionnaire required by the Baltimore Washington Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church (including review by Staff Parish Relations Committee)
• Completion of background screening and any other requirements consistent with Safe Sanctuaries Policy against child abuse of Rehoboth UMC.

Experience & Qualifications

• Familiar with financial and labor regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel and other office suite programs
• Ability to use QuickBooks
• Attention to detail
• Finance and Budget Background

Pay & Benefits

• Hourly rate negotiated based on experience ($25-$35 hr.)
• Expectations are 5-10 hours a week with the potential for more hours during some times of the year.
