Our local client is a second generation firm founded in 1962. They are well recognized for their work in the academic, institutional, residential, criminal justice, healthcare, infrastructure and retail markets.
They are currently looking for a Construction Accounting Associate to be responsible for processing invoices and other financial documents and entering them into the computer. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Excel spreadsheets and will have excellent office skills.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Experience ( mandatory ):
*Review, verify accuracy, revise and enter monthly Subcontractor AIA billings
*Review, code and enter vendor/supplier invoices
*Review and track Contractor/Vendor Lien Waivers
*Reconcile monthly Vendor/Supplier invoices and correct discrepancies
*Perform weekly check-runs; post online ACH payments
*Work closely with Project Management and Contract Administration departments to ensure accuracy and compliance
*Assist in preparing/reviewing monthly Owner Requisitions packages
Job Costing ( will train candidate to work with Asst. Accounting Manager ):
· Review and analyze pertinent Job related reports
· Prepare for, and attend monthly Job Cost meetings
· Perform monthly estimate changes and maintain accuracy of reporting
· Run and compile month-end Job Cost reporting packages.
Experience in the following is required or preferred:
Sage 300 Construction Software (preferred)
Microsoft Excel (required)
Microsoft Outlook (required)

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, DOE
