This role involves working closely with students to identify barriers to success, developing tailored improvement strategies, and connecting them with resources to enhance their academic performance, retention, and sense of belonging.

This role will play a critical part in empowering students to achieve their educational and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Alert Monitoring and Response: Monitor academic alert systems to identify students facing academic challenges and initiate outreach to support these students. Work with faculty and staff to address students' concerns, ensure early intervention, and provide timely support.
- Student Outreach and Planning: Reach out to at-risk students and conduct individual meetings to assess their unique challenges, helping them develop actionable academic success plans including time management, study skills, and goal-setting strategies.
- Track and evaluate each students progress, adjusting plans as needed to support their continued success.
- Resource Connection: Connect students to relevant campus resources, including tutoring, academic advising, financial aid, counseling, and cultural organizations, to support persistence and academic achievement.
- Ongoing Communication: Maintain open, collaborative communication with faculty, staff, and university departments to coordinate comprehensive support for students. Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding students progress and emerging needs.
- Data Tracking and Evaluation: Track, analyze, and report on student outcomes, with a focus on identifying trends related to the retention and success of students. Use data to inform continuous program improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in academic support, student services, or related roles.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with an empathetic and supportive approach to working with diverse students.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of the challenges faced by at-risk students, including first-generation college students, low-income students, and students from historically marginalized communities.
