Position Overview

The Securities Operations team plays a critical role in the investment life cycle. The team is responsible for supporting all key asset strategies, such as fixed income, middle market bank loans, direct senior, mezzanine, and private equity, equity real estate joint ventures, commercial mortgage loans, and lifetime mortgages. With a focus on private assets, the Analyst will perform crucial day-to-day functions of the firm’s over $118 billion global, multi-asset class portfolio managed both internally and externally to support Portfolio Management, Investment Solutions, Trading, and Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Process daily activity on private assets such as trade settlement, draw downs, pay downs, interest payments, principal payments, PIK payments, skim payments, agented deal transactions, and internal transfers. Perform daily par and cash reconciliations across the portfolios and forecast cash sources and uses.
• Perform daily position and cash reconciliations on private assets across the portfolios to ensure proper balances.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Investment’s front, middle, and back office as well as with RGA corporate partners (ie, IT, Accounting, Structured Finance, etc).

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Math or equivalent field AND 2 years investment securities related work experience including work with global and domestic securities operations processing
• At least 2 years’ experience with private assets
  
  

Preferred

• Reinsurance or insurance industry knowledge
• Experience using the BlackRock Aladdin trade order management system and Bloomberg
• Knowledge of MT SWIFT messaging
  
  

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of broad investments business practices
• Intermediate knowledge of security operation functions
• Technology savvy, programming, and process improvement/automation skills
• Intermediate investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational ability, being able to multi-task, effectively manage tasks and projects, adapt to new methods, and work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions
• Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/ team projects
• Intermediate ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/ accepted solutions
• Intermediate skills in customer relationship management and change management
• Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functions, and technical disciplines

Compensation Range

$76,100.00 - $108,050.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
